The whine of chainsaws and the hum of tractor engines echoed across several acres of Foxfire Farm on Friday as about 30 volunteers helped clean up the damage caused by Thursdays storm. Farm owner Faith Connelly said she was in her farmhouse when the storm hit.“It got completely black and you could tell the wind was shifting,” she said. “I could hear the trees snapping and falling and I was afraid to look out.”
