Meat packing plant employee seriously injured by ram

An employee at a meat packing plant was seriously injured when a ram that was set to be slaughtered butted him in the head Thursday morning.The victim was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. He suffered serious head injuries, according to Dayton Fire Department Physician John Heiser. His condition is unknown. The incident happened at Ben’s Custom Meat Processing, located in the 13000 block of Amity-Dayton Highway in Yamhill County.
